Administrative and Financial Professionals
Administrative Professionals
Each
physician has an administrative assistant who assists with appointment
scheduling, chart maintenance, and communication with outside medical
services.
The administrative staff will assist you with making appointments at the Hassenfeld Center as well as with related services including MRI, CT scan, and x-ray.
Receptionist
The receptionist will greet you at the front desk and obtain the information required to begin your (child's) treatment process.
The
receptionist will alert the medical team of your arrival and can
connect you with other interdisciplinary team members as needed.
Please notify the Receptionist of any address phone number or insurance changes so that we may keep your (child's) information up-to-date.
Runner
Our runner helps expedite your (child's) care by delivering lab specimens and picking up chemotherapy, medications and blood products from the main hospital. The runner is also available to bring you (your child) breakfast/lunch.
Financial Counselors
The primary role of the Financial Counselors is to work closely with our patients and their families to provide them with excellent financial services in a caring and compassionate manner.
The Financial Counselors' responsibilities are multifaceted and require a team approach from other disciplines at Hassenfeld and throughout the hospital.
The financial counselors work closely with patients and their families, doctors, social workers, NYU Finance and Managed Care department, physician billing, and auxiliary departments such as radiology and cardiology in determining the best course of action given the limitations of insurance coverage or a family's resources.
Their dedication and commitment to our patients and their families as well as their expertise in the area of HMOs, make them a valuable asset to Hassenfeld.
The financial counselors play an integral part in ensuring that the family's focus is on your (child's) care.
