government-sponsored center on complementary and alternative medicine
research, NCCAM conducts scientific research on CAM therapies and
practices, trains researchers, and informs people about CAM news and
information.
New York Online Access to Health (NOAH)
NOAH is a web gateway of carefully selected links to health resources
and health information in both English and Spanish. The resources are
chosen by information professionals in the New York City area. The page
on CAM therapies provides links to many overviews of common therapies
as well as many links to Spanish-language resources.
National Cancer Institute: Complementary and Alternative Medicine
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) of the U.S. government provides
links to alternative medicine resources that are of specific interest
to cancer patients and their families. The link to “Thinking About
Complementary and Alternative Medicine” provides overviews about
different therapies and ideas about questions to ask.

The KidsHealth website is sponsored by the Nemours Foundation which is
dedicated to improving children’s health through educational projects.
Within their website, the alternative medicine topic provides overviews
on different therapies and links to related topics. Information is in
both English and Spanish; there is also a special page designed for a teen/young adult audience.
MedlinePlus: Complementary and Alternative Therapies
MedlinePlus is a government-sponsored website from the National Library
of Medicine that provides links to high-quality information on consumer
health topics. MedlinePlus provides links to news, overviews, clinical
trials, research, organizations, and specific conditions.
MedlinePlus: Cancer Alternative Therapies
The page on cancer alternative therapies provides links to resources of
interest to cancer patients, their family members, and their caregivers.

OCCAM was created by the National Cancer Institute to support quality
research on complementary and alternative therapies related to cancer.
OCCAM provides information about CAM, links to government resources,
news and events, information about clinical trials, and more.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) provides a helpful overview of many
different CAM therapies including information about therapies of mind,
body, and spirit; touch therapies, diet and nutrition; herbs and
supplements, drug interventions; and an overview of CAM.
